WHAT IS ADHD?

ADHD or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a term widely used but not often really understood. The language surrounding ADHD often speaks of deficit and problems. Everyone who has ADHD (whether diagnosed or not) will have a unique experience of how it impacts on their lives, but many will have features of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity.

Thankfully this isn’t the whole story and there are many strengths to having ADHD such as creativity, empathy, and curiosity.

WHY COACHING?

ADHD Coaching is a partnership approach to facilitating positive change in a persons life and may help to: 

  • Make sense of how ADHD impacts on day to day life; considering what it looks like and feels like for the individual when the ADHD brain is at its best (creative, thinking outside the box, passionate, curious, brave, funny) and what it looks like and feels like when it is struggling (distracted, overwhelmed, hyperactive, impulsive, overthinking, ruminating).
  • Consider what the ADHD brain needs to unlock its potential while exploring ways to overcome the struggles. 
  • Develop a person's relationship with ADHD in way which improves confidence, acceptance and self-esteem.
